In March 2014 for my annual checkup, my doctor gave me a gruesome outlook. I was overweight (288 pounds) had high blood pressure, sugar, and cholesterol! He said I need to make some changes or I was in serious trouble. I didn’t know where to start. I started to talk to Aimee and she invited me to her studio. I have been pretty active my whole life and never really struggled with my weight but there was a point in my life where I gained 60 lbs in just a few months and kept it on for 2 years. At this point, I was feeling defeated, no longer happy with my body or lack of energy but during this time I met Aimee. Her energy was contagious! In conversation, I learned that she was a fitness trainer and I instantly became intrigued. I could feel her passion for fitness as she began to motivate me to start my journey to a healthier lifestyle. I began to have a different mindset and with her boost, I made a conscious decision to make a change.

What I admired most about Aimee was that she was straight up with me. She made it very clear this is not a “get fit quick” scheme or something that was gonna happen overnight. She wanted me to understand that I was signing up for a life long change to a fit and healthier me. Needless to say, with sweat, tears, and determination I not only lost the weight but gained a whole new appreciation to what it means to take care of your body. I have been training with Aimee since November 2014. At the time I started with her I was 35 years old and needed some positive changes in my life. For years I had poor eating habits and wondered why the older I was getting I wasn’t burning it off like before. I’m a pretty active person with my job and hobbies but what I was doing just wasn’t enough. Aimee got me on a nutrition plan and work out regimen that fit my lifestyle. Within a year I had maintained my weight but had slimmed down and developed a lot of muscle tone.

In August of 2016, I became pregnant with my first and only child. During my pregnancy, Aimee worked with me on various workouts to help keep me fit but at the same time not hurt the baby. After my son was born in April of 2017 I had gained more than 35 lbs. and had lost all of the muscle tone that I had before pregnancy. I started back with Aimee in late May and within a year I was back to my prepregnancy weight and have built more muscle than I had before. Aimee is more than a personal trainer to me, she’s a true friend. I can call, text or visit her at any time with any concern or need. She’s a true inspiration to others with her encouraging words and “push” to help you get through tough workouts.

I first started training with Aimee in 2016. At that time I had already lost weight, but I had hit a major roadblock. Despite staying in my “calorie zone” and doing long periods of cardio, I hadn’t lost any weight or inches in months!

Aimee changed my entire existing plan during our first session. She taught me correct nutrition using macros, and we worked on weight training. She also told me to stop looking at the scale. I was skeptical at first, but within two weeks I was stronger, I had dropped a complete size, and I looked and felt better.

Training with Aimee is more than just fitness, she teaches you confidence. She meets you where you are at, listens to you, and encourages you to move forward. She doesn’t allow you to wallow when you think you have failed but encourages you to not dwell on that and to keep focused on the goal. Aimee Schwinabart is my go to girl when it comes to anything health related. She has immense knowledge and experience when it comes to transforming individuals’ lives. I know, she did it for me. I met Aimee in 2014 when I began working out at her gym. Shortly after joining, I had become one of her clients participating in anywhere from two to three personal training sessions a week and following a meal plan she had made just for me. When we first met she had me journal what I was eating for one to two weeks. I knew I hadn’t been eating healthy, but her answer to my journal was not what I expected – you’re not eating enough calories. I had never heard that before, especially since I was 19 and weighing in at nearly 235 pounds. Within a few months I had dropped 67 lbs and went to my lowest weight ever – 167 lbs. I can never repay her for giving me the confidence I have, she helped mold me into the person I am today. The workouts along with the meal plan she formulated were fun and easy to follow. I will NEVER go to another trainer/dietician. Aimee gets to know you, and she will keep you honest – ask her about the time I had eaten Chinese that I claimed was “healthy” prior to one of her group training sessions. I still have never heard the end of it! I started training with Aimee after a spinal fusion. I also have severe rheumatoid arthritis, so I had nerve damage and weakness. My strength, balance, energy, and mood have drastically improved. I think I look pretty good too!

Some things that are a real plus with Aimee are: individual workouts to meet your goals, understanding of the body and emphasis on health and fitness, reasonable prices, encouraging but challenging approach, reachable goals starting where you are right now.

When I started, I could not even do a squat without falling over sideways! She started me at an appropriate level to help and not harm. After having 3 kids and going through a divorce, I felt depressed and broken. Working full time and being a single mom of 3 under the age of 11, I felt that I could never get my body back.

Aimee Schwinabart is the best trainer around. I started with Aimee over 7 years ago. From the first day I trained with her, I was treated like family. I consider myself an active person, and I try to eat in moderation; however, like so many people, my metabolism has slowed down as I have aged. In the past, my methodology of losing weight was basically starving myself until I reached the the desired number on the scales. It became more difficult, frustrating, and clearly unsuccessful. I’m not what you’d think of when you think of someone who has a personal trainer. I’m not wealthy. I’m far from glamorous. And, I’ll never wear a single-digit size.

What I am is a strong, independent mom of a special needs child that requires a lot of care. When I first met Aimee, I was very out of shape and overall not very strong. When she asked me to stand and balance on one foot, I was embarrassed as to how difficult it really was.

We started slowly with strengthening exercises and nutritional advice. I would have never dreamed that it would eventually lead to vertical jumps or hanging abdominal exercises, but it did.

Several years ago I had come to a point in my life that I was totally disgusted with my body image. I felt so uncomfortable inside. I had hit a weight I had never seen before, weighing more than I did when I was full term pregnant with my child.

I had no motivation and felt tired all of the time. I would pull into Planet Fitness and wouldn’t even get out of my car because I had no one to push me or show me what I was supposed to do.

That’s when I met Aimee and began going to her gym. I was working full-time night shifts and my body’s internal clock was completely out of whack. I knew it was going to be all or nothing and if I gave it my all, it was going to be worth it.

I began slowly at Aimee’s gym on my own and started walking on my days off. It was the boost I needed to decide to full on with Aimee as my trainer. She began working with me three days a week before I went to work or in the mornings I was off.

She was always prepared with workouts such as weight training, cardio or group training stations. She pushed me to the point that I didn’t like her at times, but I quickly began to see changes in my body. She made me realize I could do more than I thought I was capable of.

I had unbelievable amounts of energy and eventually didn’t have any cellulite on my body. I never thought that was possible!

Aimee changed my workouts continuously so that my body would keep reacting and progressing. She kept the workouts fun and fresh adding in different things that made me look forward to what was next.

She wasn’t just my trainer, she became my best friend. She is always checking on me, encouraging me to get my butt to the gym and show up for the day for myself. She reminds me to focus on my wants and keep on track.

She has worked on several meal plans for me that fits my food favorites. She taught me how to eat the foods I love without losing progress towards my weight loss goals. As a busy single mom, working full time, I want to be able to eat on the go and with my kids without feeling like I’m on a strict diet.

Aimee taught me how not to be afraid of food or sit around being hungry. I learned a lot about calories and macros and I now know how to have control over reaching my exact goals.

This whole experience has been life changing for me and was worth it all. I’m thankful for Aimee and her knowledge.
